Nu Skin Force For Good Foundation's Partnership with Seacology
February 13, 2013
The Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation has generously donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to Seacology, an island preservation organization. Indigenous people are often faced with the dilemma of choosing between protecting their precious natural resources, and economic development. Seacology protects fragile island environments by providing island communities tangible benefits for protecting their environment. Members in the island communities carry out the projects and defend their natural surroundings.
In 2012, the Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation was able to build five primary school classrooms and a footbridge in Madagascar, refurbish a Tongan community hall, provide solar power to an Indonesian junior high school, construct a community center in Tanzania, build a community house in Micronesia, and build a kindergarten in Fiji. Through the Foundations’ partnership with Seacology, nearly 2 million acres of island habitat have been protected.
