SAFI Changes Malawian Lives
Before attending SAFI, Ndevusayiti and Zeliya Chinjikani’s lives were often plagued with hunger. After graduating from SAFI, their farm has successfully grown and now they can even afford to raise pigs. The Southeast Asia Children’s Heart Fund Helped more than 440 Children

The South East Asia Children’s Heart Fund provides life-saving corrective heart surgeries for underprivileged children suffering from congenital heart disease. The Fund steps in and provides surgeries for children whose families cannot afford the operation. Meet one of the children the Fund saved last year.

Funds from Epoch® Body Butter will be used to purchase fruit trees to plant in various villages and schools in Malawi. In 2013, fruit trees will be planted and given to underprivileged children who are struggling to provide for themselves. Children will be able to use the trees for sustainable food production as well as a source of income. Indigenous people are often faced with the dilemma of choosing between protecting their precious natural resources, and economic development. Seacology protects fragile island environments by providing island communities tangible benefits for protecting their environment. Members in the island communities carry out the projects and defend their natural surroundings.

This is Yana. Yana is a healthy young girl who turned 10 last Tuesday. But she hasn’t always been this healthy, 7 years ago her future did not look as bright as it does now. Yana was born with a congenital heart defect that required surgery to correct. Luckily, Yana was sponsored by generous donations from Nu Skin employees and distributors through the Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation and was able to receive the necessary life-saving surgery through the Southeast Asia Children’s Heart Fund.

The graduating class of 2012 from the School of Agriculture for Family Independence thank the generous donors from Nu Skin that have made their journey to independence possible.
