About SEA Children's Heart Fund
Nu Skin’s Southeast Asia Children’s Heart Fund (SEA CHF) is a fund that came into being with the vision of helping children all over Southeast Asia who suffer from congenital heart disease and require medical treatment. SEA CHF through Nu Skin offices in Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia raise funds for medical treatments through sale of products, corporate events and donations from the Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation.

In the Southeast Asia region, there are more than 50,000 children suffering from heart defects each year. Less than 5,000 patients undergo heart surgery each year. This means patients will have to wait in line for more than a year before having a chance at treatment.

The waiting period is getting longer because the rate of patients being added to the waiting list is greater than the rate of those being operated on. Some children will die before a chance at treatment comes along; some will become disabled, while others have to wait even longer for treatment, anywhere from two to three years at a time.

Mission

In view of the large and growing number of children suffering from heart defects in Southeast Asia, Nu Skin Enterprises hopes the SEA CHF will be able to help address and reduce the long waiting list of heart patients in need of surgeries and treatment. Under its “A Life A Day” program, it hopes to save one child a day.
