Millions of people in East Nusa Tenggara live in poverty, causing the province’s malnutrition rate the highest in the country. Children in Soe, Kupang, are grown up in dry and dusty neighbourhood. Most of them suffer from lack of nutrition, or malnutrition.
Melki Takesef, a 9 years-old’s son of a farmer, lives at Desa Oepliki, Timor Tengah Selatan. Melki is not able to go to school because his family lives in poverty. They live in a very dry, unpleasant environment with poor watering system. He is extremely grateful to receive VitaMeal, particularly the VitaMeal porridge prepared by his mother.
