Our sustainability pillars
People
At Nu Skin, we believe in the power of changing hearts and minds. Supporting or inspiring sustainable change by working with people worldwide is a crucial part of the Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation’s many projects.
Whether it’s teaching sustainable farming methods through the School of Agriculture for Family Independence (SAFI), encouraging economic growth and the importance of recycling or helping island nations preserve their culture and environments for generations to come, positive change will always begin with People.
Planet
To lessen the impact we have on our planet, we began by looking internally. Our commitment is to continually work towards creating a global network of zero-waste facilities. What does that mean? It means we’re working to divert 90% of our office and waste from landfills, ultimately resulting in a cleaner and healthier planet.
That work has already begun here in Europe and Africa, with our warehouse in Venlo powered by green energy from renewable resources, low consumption LED lighting, and the use of recycled material in some of our product packaging. It’s even proud to play host to a hive of honeybees!
Product
Creating innovative and high-quality products has always been our priority. Just like we never stop working to make our products better than ever, we also want to lessen their impact on the planet. It’s a responsibility that we take seriously. That’s why we use sustainable components such as post-consumer resin (PCR), reduce the packaging, for example by eliminating the head and shoulder of traditional tubes, and plan to do much more!
We have already begun to assess, score, and improve the environmental impact score of some of our most popular products, and aim to have done so for the entire portfolio by 2023. Our commitment is to ensure that every single one has sustainably improved packaging by 2030 – not an easy task for such a large portfolio, but we’re getting there.
You can see just some of the progress we’re making with our new Nutricentials range.
Three trees for sustainability
When you spot the Nu Skin logo of three trees on any of our product pages, you’ll know that we’ve assessed and improved this product with the aim of reducing our impact on the environment. As we continue to work towards our sustainability pledge, this logo will appear on the webshop page of more and more Nu Skin products.
But it’s not the only logo you’ll find. We are transitioning our cartons to be FSC certified, and you’ll notice the Green Dot logo – two intertwined arrows – on all of our products as well.

How can you participate?
1. Purchase the Epoch range*
Every time you purchase an Epoch product, Nu Skin donates US$0.25 to the Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation, a significant contributor to Seacology. This organisation creates win-win conservation partnerships that help island communities build infrastructure and preserve their marine habitats for generations to come. Together, they protect the unique habitats and cultures of islands worldwide.
2. Take care with empty products
We all want to do our bit when it comes to recycling or disposing of empty products, and the smallest changes can make a big difference. In some countries, you may need to add steps such as rinsing containers before recycling, removing caps, lids, and pumps, or removing plastic labels before recycling paper or cardboard packaging. By making sure we recycle correctly, we can help reduce waste even further. If you’re ever unsure about how to get rid of a product, don’t hesitate to check with your local facilities – they’ll be more than happy that you asked!
You can keep up to date with the latest changes we’re making to become more sustainable right here.
* New-look Epoch range coming soon to Europe and Africa. The availability of some products may vary by country. To check product availability, please consult your local version of nuskin.com.
Nu Skin Joins EcoBeautyScore Consortium
Nu Skin is an official member of the EcoBeautyScore Consortium; a globally recognized group developing an industry-wide environmental impact assessment and scoring system for cosmetics products.
The aim of EcoBeautyScore Consortium aligns with Nu Skin's goal of putting the customer first and recognizes the need for one easy-to-understand, industry-wide standard. In 2019, we developed our own internal scoring system to improve the customer sustainability journey, and Nu Skin plans to bring key learnings from this implementation as an active participant in the development of a globally recognized standard.
