HOW TO KICK OFF 2021 WITH A BANG
Creating a successful business isn’t easy at any time, but after all the businesses worldwide that took a hit in 2020, it may seem even more difficult these days. But don’t let timing hold you back. It is 2021 and while there may be challenges ahead, there will also be many opportunities for you to succeed. If we look back in history some of the most successful businesses launched during challenging times. The Entrepreneur looks at this indicating that “during the 1957 to 1958 recession, the first Hyatt hotel opened. Microsoft was founded during the oil embargo recession of 1973 to 1975 and during The Great Recession from 2007 to 2009 we saw the creation of several start-ups like Uber as well as the popular vacation rental marketplace Airbnb.”[1] If you’re second guessing whether now is the time to start a company or really invest in your business, why not jump in and see if you can succeed. The new year offers a bright, new opportunity to clear the slate and make a fresh start. Forget about last year and set new goals for what you want to achieve for the year ahead.
Here are our top tips to help you get your business up and running and kick off 2021 with a bang.
1. Plan: Planning is a priority. With a well-prepared plan you will be able to keep focused and on track for growth and success. Make sure you spend time planning your year, months, weeks and days. If you set plans this is the first step for success.
2. Set a routine: It is a new year so why not set a new routine. We have all been at home for so long in 2020 so why not change up your physical and social environment a bit. By making changes it will allow you to stay motivated
3. Set Goals: What do you want to achieve this year in your business, in your personal life, as a team? Setting goals for the new year gives you a sense of purpose and allows you to focus and direct your time and energy towards what’s really important. Make sure you set realistic goals that you can strive to achieve this year.
4. Be accountable: It is important that you hold yourself accountable. Set reminders on your phone and on your planner so you know exactly what you want to achieve by when. We also recommend that you have at least 3 accountability partners. It can be a family member, your Account Manager, your upline or even a Facebook group that will help you to keep on challenging yourself so you can stay motivated and on track to achieving your goals.
