THAILAND

Napaporn Babmuan, 7 years old

Napaporn was abandoned by her mother when she was 3 years old and only lived with her grandmother. At the age of 5, she was diagnosed to have a clogged alimentary canal that made her frequently ill with asthma. With the help received from SEA-CHF, her health began to improve after the surgery and tolerated the procedure well. For the first time, she started going to school and lives a normal life.

PHILIPPINES

Julyana Samson, 7 years old

In 2004, Julyana, then 2 years old, was diagnosed with an enlarged heart. Her mother, Anna Samson, sent emails to 30 possible foundations she saw in the internet to get help for her daughter. One of which was Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation. Among these, only Nu Skin got in touch with her. Julyana was flown to Thailand together with her parents for her surgery. She is fast growing up and lives a normal life. Julyana has become part of Nu Skin Philippines' history as the first child ever to receive a heart surgery through the SEA-CHF. Until now, she and her family never fail to remember how Nu Skin has changed their lives.

MALAYSIA

Roy Effendie Ramlan, 9 years old

Roy was only 7 years old when he was diagnosed with a hole in his heart. Fortunately, he was given the needed operation in June 2008 through the help of SEA-CHF. Roy and his family are so happy and very grateful for giving their son a normal life. He now does not need to take medications and looks forward to going to school everyday. His ambition is to be a policeman when he grows up.
