I have my background in the hair and beauty industry and for 14 years that’s all I’d ever known. Before joining Nu Skin, my hairdressing career was extremely competitive and the long hours meant that I was often very tired.
My Nu Skin journey started back in 2016. I’ll be honest I wasn’t looking for an extra income or an opportunity at the time. I was simply introduced to the business by my love for the products. I started using the hair care range and I immediately introduced the line to my customers. I had also worked with a hair care line in the salon but what intrigued me the most about Nu Skin products was the revolutionary science behind them.. The more I looked into the company, the more passionate I started to become. I love that the company has been established for over 35 years and that our founders from day one are still our founders today.
Fast forward two years into the business and I began working my way up the compensation plan and really enjoyed incorporating the products and business into my hairdressing life. I had what I can only describe as the best experience, I loved everything about the company and most importantly, I loved the idea of helping others. I really don’t believe I would be where I am today without the support of my business partners, mentors and account managers.
However, the two years following that were very different. As a person, I often put a lot of pressure on myself to succeed in everything I do in life. Things got tricky when I opened my own salon which had always been my dream. Unfortunately, that meant I couldn’t put as much work into my Nu Skin business as I had put previously.
In these 4 and a half years in the business I have had the most amazing highs and some challenging lows. One thing that really kept me going even when the times got tough was the support which was provided by our company. I had never received support like this in my hairdressing career previously so I knew I had to give it my all.
A turning point for me was when I made the life-changing decision of pursuing my Nu Skin career full time and closing the salon chapter. Since then, I have been able to achieve so many personal goals and now we have our first child on the way. I will forever be grateful for this opportunity and for being a part of the most special Nu Skin family!
