Mariann Engvik
My name is Mariann Engvik and I am 40 years old. I started my first business when I was 22 years old as a franchisee of a large cosmetics brand. It was a hard entrepreneurial project and after 12 years I decided to sell it. Since the beginning of my professional work, the quality of products has always been close to my heart, and it has always been important to be able to recommend my family and customers products that I can genuinely stand for.
I have always worked hard to achieve my goals, and in 2012 my store won Sweden's best retail store award, followed by the award for the best retail store in 2013, winning with the stores on Carnaby Street in London and in Singapore. I first came across Nu Skin products 2.5 years ago and was immensely impressed by their quality. Nu Skin business platform opened a completely new door for me – an opportunity that I had been looking for a long time. Around this time, my children, now aged 13 and 9, lost their father, so the timing to start a new project was the worst imaginable. That said, setting up a new business with Nu Skin gave me something else to think about and focus on in the period filled with sadness.
During the past years, I have qualified for two Success Trips to Mauritius and a We Go Home Trip to Nu Skin headquarters in Provo, USA. This visit made me realise and appreciate how unique the products developed by the researchers are and how much work there is behind them. I also noticed how serious the company is in the goal to be trendsetters in the market. I was impressed by the level of innovation in the company. I am proud to represent Nu Skin and driven to help others reach their goals through hard work and commitment. I appreciate being able to create my own schedule and adapt it to my children’s needs. Thank you, Nu Skin for giving me this opportunity.
